INTRODUCTION

The 2022 Spring/Summer collection is inspired by various artistic forms under orientalism. Illusions of the ancient East, blue-and-white porcelain, oriental wallpaper, furniture, tea room gardens are all sources of inspiration from the 18-20 centuries’s influence from the eastern culture. Paintings by Jacques Linard, antique furniture by Willy Daro’s designs on their fantasized Chinese beauty is not only an oriented symbol of wealth and power, but also aningenious output of integration and innovation.

 

In the color usage for this season, Jacques used the quiet white and elegant blue-gray color tones to naturally blend into dense tones of grass green and bright red. He was experimental with the use of new materials and pattern to recreate silhouettes. The frivolous dress is wrapped in color PVC, the soft ostrich feather is dotted with beautiful skirts, and the silhouette of the slim skirt express the feeling of effortless chic. Boyish wide-collared shirts, open-back blazers and jackets, strong orientalist prints and animal patterns,  masculine arm contour and straight collar shape define a women’s most firm but yet free willed independent character.
