“LIBAI 里白”不仅仅只是设计师的化身，它更是一个平台。设计师主张“无风格化”的sheji8，弱化单一风格对品牌的重要性，坚持以高品质的面料，结合多种当代设计元素，重新回归服装的本质，反思“风格”对于时装的禁锢。从这点看，“无风格化”恰恰是品牌最鲜明的风格。“LIBAI 里白”主张让衣服去适应人，而不是让人去适应衣服。“LIBAI 里白”反对用单一的价值观去绑架消费者，让衣服从意义中解脱出来，用简约易懂的设计语汇，重构人与服装的亲近关系。当过度的“设计”已对人构成了一个个“霸权”，“里白”将其斩落下马，试验一种民主，却不失品质，企图实现墨子所倡导的“兼爱非攻”式的理想。
设计师的高超技艺，为品牌带来了高度专业性的形象，无论从面料的处理，或是版型的精细雕琢，均截然不同传统“设计师品牌”。“LIBAI 里白”的国际视野，将之定位于介乎传统商业品牌，与设计师品牌之间的contemporary brand。它既具有传统商业品牌的实穿性与适应性，也具有设计师品牌对于设计核心的独特追求。
“LIBAI” is not merely a statement of the designer, but a great platform. The designer deliberately advocates styleless design and plays down the importance of single style in brand; by throwing off shackles of style and incorporating contemporary elements in premium fabrics, he calls attention to the essential qualities of clothing. From this perspective of view, the lack of style is a distinctive style in its own right. In the opinion of LIBAI, clothes should fit people, not the other way around. LIBAI is opposed to manipulating customers by mono-value; it insists that clothing should not have an intended meaning, and as a result, a simple, clear language can be used to create a close bond between people and clothing. At a time when the excessive design has transformed into a hegemony against consumers, LIBAI is ready to overthrow it and replace it with a democratic, elegant ideal based on universal love, non-offensive which is advocated by Mozi, the famous ideologist in ancient China.
The highly professional brand image stems from designer’s superb skills. It is drastically different from conventional designer brands, be it fabric treatment or exquisite craftsmanship presented in model. With an international outlook, “LIBAI” tends to position itself as a contemporary brand, somewhere between conventional commercial brand and designer brand.
